So to get ready for all the Independece Day festivities that are going on this weekend…I thought why not use some of my scrapping stash to create a fun decoration that my little one can bring to the parade and fireworks! Then I saw a challenge posted on Fancy Pants blog and it was just the extra nudge I needed to grab some supplies. I created a fun firecracker decoration using Fancy Pants Spiffy Collection ( die cuts, ribbon and paper) I also used a miscellaneous star and flag button as an accent.

Last weekend we actually had time to kick back at home and enjoy life’s little moments. (of course lots of chores in between) I took a series of photos as Bray was playing with his bubbles! I tried to capture a bit of his personality. So I had these pics so then what? I have wanted to play with some digital photo collages. I downloaded some from Scrapbook ETC’s site and what fun I had. I also got brave and started playing with a few digital elements I had saved and added a bit of pizazz on the photo itself. I resized the collage to what I think will work on a layout, I uploaded to my local Walgreens and printed. Waalah!
Here is what I created, I’ll be sure to show you how I incorporate it into a layout! If you want to play with easy digital collages you can check them out here.

Oh my word I’m super EXCITED! I have some really GREAT news…and I’m still shocked!
The phone rang the other night and I had retired early for the evening so my husband took the call.
Only for him to come and wake me up to tell me some awesome news! It just so happens that he received a call pertaining to a Scrapbook Company Design Team Call….yes I said COMPANY as in a actual manufacturer!
I am proud to say I am a Moxxie girl! I can’t wait to get started and get to know the team!

What a great day! We had an offsite today for work. Which meant a morning of meetings at a building that overlooked the lake….then the afternoon involved team building. BEACH VOLLEYBALL which I used to LOVE back in my teens…it’s been a long time since I have played. I’m sure I’ll be feeling it tomorrow. It’s been cold all week and today the sun came out and I believe it finally hit 85! Great day to hang on the beach and work!
Reveal day today at Citrus Tree Studio, June’s Easy Rider Kit has a well rounded collection of Glitz papers, Glitz rubons, Jenni Bowlin Crepe Paper, Arrow shaped photo anchors and much more. Here are a few of my layouts created using the kit.

What a week! We had Brayden’s 3rd Birthday party on Sunday. Wed I threw my back out, not exactly sure what I did. But today is FRIDAY! We don’t have big plans this weekend so I think I may actually get to organize some areas of the house that need it. One being my scrap area! Time to get motivated and use up some of the massive paper I have as well. Anyone else have that problem? I seem to be a collector, need to use it up! I made a oath once that I would have to create 10 layouts to buying new paper. Well lets just say it did not work. However I did recently pull out some older Fancy Pants Papers I had and created the following. Hope you have a Scrappy Weekend!

Super excited! I entered a layout using Dream Street Papers to a monthly challenge posted over at Crop Addict.
To my suprise I was choosen as the winner! I even took out my CRICUT to complete this layout.
If you need a bit of inspiration to get your mojo going check out the site. They have a new monthly challenge posted for May using Three Bugs in a Rug.
Here is my layout Snips and Snails:

Whew what a year I have had so far! Shortly after Christmas I became quite ill. Unfortunately I had to let the blog go for awhile, but I’m better now and on my way to a healthier year.
So what have I been doing with my scrappy self? I now design for a kit club called Citrus Tree Studios! The kits contain a beautiful mix of patterns, cardstock, embellishments, alpha’s and doo dads! Check out this month’s kit.

Here are just a few of my projects I created using this kit:

So yes I’m still scrappin! I hope you are all doing well, I’ll be updating my blog on a regular basis again.

Well it seems December got a good start of the white stuff….Last week Tuesday I had off of work. Well kinda…I knew we were expected to get slammed with snow so brought my laptop home from work so I could “work from home”. I’m so glad that we have that option. I would not have been able to leave the house if I wanted to though, the plows did not come through until the wee morning hours the following day. Brayden and I had fun watching several other cars/trucks get stuck on our road though.
Then two days ago we had 35 degree weather and rain! Yes rain, on top of 6-12 inches of snow. Now another 6 is to hit tomorrow. So as long as it does not rain again we may just have a WHITE CHRISTMAS.
Here are a few pictures of Bray outside playing in the snow!

I found a fun SB message board just recently named Paper Popsicles! Of course my two year old loves it, the first time he saw me at the computer with that site, he screamed with delight because of the popsicle logos! I was able to join in the fun they had planned last weekend during a cyber crop! I can now say I actually have several Holiday cards ready for the upcoming season! YAY! The very talented DT posted classes from paper wreathes to Christmas Countdowns!
So I spent my weekend scrubbing floors, laundry and creating fun projects from the crop! I was lucky enough to win a few of the challenges as well. I’m super stoked to see my mailman this week.
Here are just a few of the cards I created:

Almost another month has gone by…and I need to get back into blogging! I’m not sure if it’s the weather or the time change but by the time I get home from work I’m just tuckered out. I have a feeling I’m still adjusting to the time change.
Knock on wood we have gone a month without Brayden coming down with pnemonia again! Whoo hooo! He has a cold now but I hope that passes shortly.
Thanksgiving….yes it’s not too far away! What’s your favorite food for the holiday? Mine would have to be a toss up between my mom’s green been casserole and PUMPKIN PIE…yummm But it has to be WARM pumpkin pie. I hope to blog a bit later this week, I have more fun projects to share!
So I’m going to show you a project that I created using one of Nov. Monthly Kits from AWDML, Everday Nonsense .
Everyday Nonsense A FUN collection of colors and patterns! WeR Memory Keepers Nonsense Collection has a pallet of beautiful colors that can be used for a variety of occasions. The colors complimented some of my summer photos perfectly! Of course the perfect foundation has got to be the Bazzill Cardstock. I had fun jazzing up my layouts using the mini sparkle brads by WeR Memory Keepers. Now if you’re a fan of stickles you will have a fun with the color Cinnamon! I think stickles add just the right amount of pizzazz to any page. The American Crafts Orange Puffy Alpha’s are eye candy for any craft project, I love the dimension they give. Now if you’re a chipboard fanatic we have it for you, Maya Road Chipboard Sheet Flowers and Petals. Now you can dress them up with the stickles, or add a touch of the American Craft Orange Ribbon! Lots of other surprises are waiting to be discovered in this kit!
I created a Thanksgiving Place Card! The WeRMemory Keepers papers were perfect for the feathers.
