What’s on my SB table?

angie August 27th, 2008

Well I just finished up a layout using KI memories products.  I loved this picture Bray’s Grandma took of him on our vacation, so sincere.  I wish I could have finished more fun things I have on my “to do” list but work has been a bit crazy since I got back and we have been shopping at night for a new bed.   I think ours has got to be at least 20 years old.  So last night FINALLY we found the ONE!  It will be delivered next Wed!  Yay!  I think the fact that grandma and grandpa watched Bray helped a bit. I was not constantly running after him jumping from bed to bed.  Other than that I’m looking forward to a nice LONG weekend!  I just received my kit from AWDML and it’s some nice EYE Candy!  I already have something sketched out and I can’t wait to show the sneak peak!

Till then…here is my latest.

I’m BACK!

angie August 18th, 2008

Well after a HORRIBLE I mean absolutely HORRIBLE flight going into the vacation, I was glad to say that the rest of the week was wonderful! The day we left Brayden spiked a fever…FUN, I think it was his 2 year molars. Then we had the most CRABBIEST stewardess ever…implying if Brayden kept crying we would have to be kicked off the plane. WHAT? He was not even loud, just wimpering. Anyways…we made it. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous and it was nice to just RELAX! When we arrived back home, we spent two days at local beaches and parks. My Father in Law left yesterday morning. He has got to be one of the best house guests ever! He always took care of my dishes! I had an lovely vacation. However back to reality I have to muster up some motivation to get moving and off to work I go. It’s slowgoing today….

I can share one of my recent projects. I needed to whip up some quick Thank You’s for the people that took care of the cat, mail and plants while we were gone. Oh and one of my coworkes let us borrow her portable DVD. It was a blessing! So I sat down yesterday with July’s Kit - Floral Frenzy from A Walk Down Memory Lane and created some cute cards. I just love all the colors in this kit!

Bags are Packed and I’m ready to go!

angie August 6th, 2008

On vacation that is! We leave tomorrow morning, getting picked up by 4:30a.m. YIKES! I have the bags all set. Paranoid of course that I may have forgotten something. I also have a bit of anxiety traveling for the first time with a two year old!

We are going to Mrytel Beach for my sister in laws wedding! Should be fun and HOT! Staying for a week. Should get some great photo ops out of it all.

Well I finished a bunch of things for my DT duties at TSS and I even took the plunge and hit the SUBMIT key for one of my most favorite companies ever! Yes I applied for Fancy Pants Designs. One can hope right? Well I’ll cross my fingers.

I’ll be sure to post some pics from the vacation and I’ll be back in a week!

Here is one of the layouts I completed for the call. I picked up the supplies through TSS/A Walk Down Memory Lanes!

At Play

A 2-Pager?

angie July 23rd, 2008

wk3balln3.jpg

Yep that’s right…I completed a 2 pager. I loved the results…I have been on the fence about possibly starting a book for Brayden with all 2-pagers like I had done when I first started scrapping. I think this lo has convinced me to do so. Especially for events where I have several series of photos.

I was challenged by ScrapDango’s 4 week DT contest. What a fun way to see everyone’s talents and skills. We just ended Wk#3. We had to create a 2 pager with dominant colors of red and green, using 5 or more photos and one had to be larger than a 4×6.

Lets see what else..well the first two weeks of July we spent with a sick household.  Brayden had Hand, Foot, Mouth and then my husband got it.  Fun all the way around.  Bray was good for a week and now he has a fever and a cold.  Hoping that is just a day virus as we  had plans to go “up north” this weekend.

My husbands Dad is coming to visit next week and then traveling to Mrytel Beach with us for my sister in laws wedding.  I’m sure I will have plenty of stories on that.  Oh yes…

I have been feverishly trying to complete my MMM entry.  Yep I’m going to try for it.  Why not..what can it hurt right? Im just waiting for the photos in the 12×12 size to arrive that I ordered.

So that is what’s been going on! I’m off with my cup of coffee to get ready for a grueling day at work.

July already?

angie July 8th, 2008

Wow….this summer has just flown by already…and it has not even been warm that long. We completely missed the 4th of July. Brayden being sick and all. He was lucky enough to catch Hand, Mouth and Foot disease. Let me tell you that is not fun at all, for parent or child. I’m a bit sad we missed the parade and the fireworks but we are looking forward to this weekend. My company picnic is this weekend and it’s LARGE, they bring in ponies, petting zoo, mini rides for the kids, games, cotton candy, ice cream, popcorn…YOU NAME IT! I hope that will bring a smile to his face. Sad seeing him so miserable for the last week.

Now on to Scrapping news….well I’m trying to work on some entries for MMM and I heavily critique each layout which I think may be hindering…..I have 3 done 2 more to go by the end of July.

I’m also challenging myself with a DT contest on SCRAPDANGO’s site. It’s a 4 week contest and in the end they pick out their new DT members. Love being challenged so I thought I would give it a shot.

Here is my latest layout….using July’s kit from A Walk Down Memory Lane. Love all the bright colors. I have not scrapped many photo’s of me being prego but thought this worked out perfectly for the photo. I even took a pic of the cake and made it into a embellishment. (the stork)

I’m using this for my Wk #1 entry as the photo works so well with the quote. If there’s anything half so much fun as being alive, I’d like to know what it is!” R. Beuchner

June Frenzy

angie June 22nd, 2008

It’s finally warm here in WI! YAY! We have been hit with a lot of water and I’m glad that we were able to stay dry in our household. Last weekend we ventured to the Waterpark Capital of the World, WI Dells. My parents came along as well. It was sad driving through WI seeing all the devastation the floods had done. In fact we had to take many detours because alot of the bridges were out. At one point we took a county road and stopped just before crossing a raging river. We decided not to chance it and turn around and go another way. Lake Delton part of the Dells was completely wiped out! The water took out an enbankment and met up with the WI river….so it was odd to see a huge hole where a lake once stood. It was on the National news as well.

Our mini vacation was great though! We took an army Duck tour on the WI river, we also took a boat ride, Brayden loved the water park at our hotel. It was geared for 12 and under. It was nice having my parents along, Ron and I were able to go to the pool and hot tub at night while they watched Bray.

We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! And here is a giggle….I used to LOVE NKOTB…well what does my DH get me for a gift. Yes he bought me 2 tickets to the Milwaukee show in Oct. I thought that was very sweet of him. I’m such GEEK and he loves me for it!

So now that I have a weekend or two before we take another mini vacation I’ll share a fun photo we took at a restaurant in the Dells! Should be our next Christmas Card…ha ha.

Now for the fun part….showing you how I got my hands dirty! I loved playing with the HS mask! I have never created with one before and even have another one in my stash! They just intimidate me. What you want me to use PAINT? How? and what if it does not work..? Well I got bold and decided I wanted to use the mask partially on my photo and use it as a photo corner! Loved the effect! The mask stayed in place while I painted and after the paint dried the mask pulled off with ease! The Fancy Pants pins were so fun and easy to play with….of course having the AC Felt Flower stickers gave me the perfect element to add the pins too! Well here it is….

What a SUPRISE!

angie May 27th, 2008

I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend! Our family did. I had an even nicer suprise this morning! I had entered the Tinkering Ink Vintage Contest, I had created a birthday card for a friend and thought well I can give it a shot! I had used an old button out of my stash. Most of my older buttons all came from my grandmother. I created the card using the Provincial Line that was provided to me from TSS for a DT project. I had some scraps leftover. I entered my card right before we headed “up North for” the long weekend. This morning just for giggles I checked Tinkering Ink’s blog and almost fell over. Their was my card displayed. Holy smokes!!! I won, I was like GET OUT….no way…. but sure enough clear as day my card! What a nice way to start a short week! Just needed to let out a small TOOT!6a00d834f8d77e69e200e55276f6668833-800wi.jpg

Busy, busy, busy…

angie May 22nd, 2008

Oh my goodness it seems like I have been the energizer bunny lately.  3 weeks ago we had a mini vacation up north, last weekend I scrambled to clean and make sure Brayden’s 2 year birthday party was perfect and this weekend we are going back up north.  However I have not even packed yet.  HA!  We may not leave till early Sat morning just so I can get my bearings.  I’m looking forward to it though.  My aunt and uncle are driving their camper and pontoon boat up as well and the weather looks like it’s going to be gorgeous!  In honor of my little birthday boy I’m highlighting a lo with him!  I really need to get scrapping those birthday shots…fun-boy-memorieslg.jpg
