I was very lucky to be able to play with Moxxie’s newest Birthday collection “It’s Your Day”! I wanted to create something that coordinated and was fun to give! I love making these cute favor bags they are so easy to make and thought a complimenting gift bag would make the perfect Birthday duo! These projects were actually showcased at the July CHA show in Chicago! The collection has such a wide variety of patterns on the double sided paper it made creating a piece of cake! What I love even more about these projects is you can recycle items you have already; take an old gift bag and recover it with fun scrappy papers and give it a facelift, for the favor bag I used packaging from my Thickers for the clear bag! I need to whip up a few more of the bags for upcoming birthdays! Happy Scrappin!

Now….. on to some BIG news for me! My daughter Makenah was born on July 29th! We are so very blessed to have her! Of course Brayden is very excited to be a big brother. I’m very happy that she decided to come 2 weeks early and at 9 lbs 7 oz I could not imagine how much more she would have grown. So of course I have been clicking away now I just need to print some pics and get scrappin! Life changing events like this is what makes you appreciate so many things!

My hubby took this picture of Brayden painting in fall. I had been waiting to find the right papers to scrap this! Don’t you just love the drill in the background. We were in the middle of remodeling the kitchen the time the pic was taken. I had fun working with WE R Memory Makers Show and Tell Collection. I thought the crayons were just adorable! I picked up more of this line for Bray’s first school pics coming up soon in Fall! Happy Scrappin!

This week on Scrap Play’s blog the DT was asked to create a layout by stretching your supplies. Now I’m a supply hoarder, for the longest time I would even keep the tiniest scraps! So this was fun for me! Since it’s summer and I love going “up north” I wanted to create a layout featuring my favorite things about “up north”. Since my local photo processor has coupons from time to time for free collage prints I knew that would be a perfect fit for my frugal layout. It’s so easy that my local photo processor even has the program on line to create your own collage. Of course you know I’m a fan of MOXXIE and I wanted to use some of the paper I had from the camping collection. To save product and $ I removed a large chunk of the paper behind my collage to use on a card or other project. The die cuts I had left over from another layout and costed about .40. I used a Rub On title and scrap paper for my journal block! Total cost of the layout was about $2.54. Now how about this weeks give a way on Scrap Play’s Blog…. All you have to do is follow the link and leave a message on your money saving tips for scrapping! Easy right? The prize… CK’s Tips and Tricks Magazine. Hop on over.

Oh my word I was so excited the other week when the UPS man showed up at my door… Why you ask? Well he happened to have a LARGE box filled with Moxxie Goodness! The funny thing is we were actually in the car at the end of the road on our way for vacation when I saw the UPS man pull down our street. My dear husband was sweet enough to turn around so I could grab my package. I have been busy creating with the latest releases. I can’t show you my work just yet…. however I can show you the released collections. Moxxie of course has a few new lines they will be releasing for the show as well. Keep your eyes open for that post coming soon! Here is a sampling of what I have been creating with.

I’m sure you took a bunch of photos from last weekend’s holiday festivities! We were quite busy here…. with having friends over for a bonfire, the parade, another picnic to a pool party I’m ready to go back to work. Now just what do you do with all those photos….well you SCRAP them! Scrap Play has just the challenge for you!
The team over at Scrap Play is challenging you to create a layout using these three colors. (Red, White or Off White, Blue) It can be patriotic, or completely different, but the color palette must include some shade of red, white, and blue! Send it in by July 9, 2010 for a chance to win a set of patriotic letter stickers from Making Memories and a couple other red, white, and blue surprise embellishments. I know I took tons of photos over the weekend that I need to upload and print off. Here is a layout I created using the basic color scheme. Bray was having way too much fun with his 49 cent ice cream cone from McDonalds!
