It’s finally warm here in WI! YAY! We have been hit with a lot of water and I’m glad that we were able to stay dry in our household. Last weekend we ventured to the Waterpark Capital of the World, WI Dells. My parents came along as well. It was sad driving through WI seeing all the devastation the floods had done. In fact we had to take many detours because alot of the bridges were out. At one point we took a county road and stopped just before crossing a raging river. We decided not to chance it and turn around and go another way. Lake Delton part of the Dells was completely wiped out! The water took out an enbankment and met up with the WI river….so it was odd to see a huge hole where a lake once stood. It was on the National news as well.

Our mini vacation was great though! We took an army Duck tour on the WI river, we also took a boat ride, Brayden loved the water park at our hotel. It was geared for 12 and under. It was nice having my parents along, Ron and I were able to go to the pool and hot tub at night while they watched Bray.

We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! And here is a giggle….I used to LOVE NKOTB…well what does my DH get me for a gift. Yes he bought me 2 tickets to the Milwaukee show in Oct. I thought that was very sweet of him. I’m such GEEK and he loves me for it!

So now that I have a weekend or two before we take another mini vacation I’ll share a fun photo we took at a restaurant in the Dells! Should be our next Christmas Card…ha ha.

You will be challenged during a 6 week contest at A Walk Down Memory Lane. The grand prize? A Guest Design team spot on their awesome Design team OR a prize package valued at over $100. The 2nd place winner will receive a prize package valued at $50. The 3rd place winner will receive a prize package valued at $25.

In your quest to become a Super Scrapper, we will challenge you each week to show off your best work, using a specific manufacturer’s products. You may receive additional instructions such as using a sketch, using a layout recipie, or even scraplifting a layout.

Each week, your layout will be voted on by our message board members. Each vote gains you valuable points. This, along with votes from the Design Team will add up to your final score at the end of the contest. The one with the highest point total will be declared our Super Scrapper of the year!

Requirements:
** You need to be a registered member at the message board located at www.TheScrapbookSite.com
** In order to vote, you must be a registered member at the message board.
** You will find a list of rules and manufacturers to be used at the message board in the contest section.
** If chosen as the Super Scrapper, you will need to sign our DT contract if you choose that prize.
** International designers are welcome to apply, however if chosen, you agree to pay any additional shipping charges of your DT products.

It’s that time again….I received the kit from The Scrapbooking Site/A Walk Down Memory Lane and I LOVED it! Now I know that I’m partial to anything Fancy Pants but this kit pushed me to try new things. I’m loving all the Heidi Swapp papers~very fun! See all of the fun elements that were included:

Now for the fun part….showing you how I got my hands dirty! I loved playing with the HS mask! I have never created with one before and even have another one in my stash! They just intimidate me. What you want me to use PAINT? How? and what if it does not work..? Well I got bold and decided I wanted to use the mask partially on my photo and use it as a photo corner! Loved the effect! The mask stayed in place while I painted and after the paint dried the mask pulled off with ease! The Fancy Pants pins were so fun and easy to play with….of course having the AC Felt Flower stickers gave me the perfect element to add the pins too! Well here it is….
