Happy Birthday Ideas!

August 19th, 2010

I was very lucky to be able to play with Moxxie’s newest Birthday collection “It’s Your Day”! I wanted to create something that coordinated and was fun to give!  I love making these cute favor bags they are so easy to make and thought a complimenting gift bag would make the perfect Birthday duo!  These projects were actually showcased at the July CHA show in Chicago!  The collection has such a wide variety of patterns on the double sided paper it made creating a piece of cake!  What I love even more about these projects is you can recycle items you have already; take an old gift bag and recover it with fun scrappy papers and give it a facelift, for the favor bag I used packaging from my Thickers for the clear bag!  I need to whip up a few more of the bags for upcoming birthdays!  Happy Scrappin!

A pleasant surprise!

So just prior to having Makenah I entered a contest at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  I have been checking out their blog posts for some time and enjoy all the inspiration they post.  I love all the projects they post but not to mention the give-aways and contests!  Now that is a motivation to keep scrapping !    They had issued a conntest on how to use your alpha’s  I decided I would give it a whirl and to my surprise I took first place!  The prize you ask?  A $50 gift certificate to the store!  How fun is that?  With having my girl I  need to stock up on some fun girly papers!  If your looking for some great inspiration and motivation to scrap check out Scrapbooking Supplier R Us.

Here is the layout I entered for Alpha Contest.  I mixed up my chipboard alphas and used negative an positive outlines of the letters.
