Sketch #125 at Creative Scrappers

October 16th, 2010

I’m so glad I could play along this week!  I loved the sketch, and was inspired to dig into my stash and use what I have.  I was able to use up some leftover coordinating paper and a bunch of rub on sentiments/words!  This week creative scrappers celebrated their 125th sketch.  In celebration they have a list of sponsors giving away goodies!  You still have a bit of time if you can whip up a layout using the sketch.  Here is mine:

Fall Layout with Imaginisce Sketch

October 9th, 2010

This week Imaginisce posted this month’s sketch challenge and I had to give it a try.  I pulled out some oldy but goodies from Imaginisce’s  Hallowhimsy colletion.  Fall/Halloween is my favorite season of the year.  I love the vibrant colors, smells and tastes.  Every year my mom and I go to a Harvest Fest where we have a fabulous day starting with morning coffee, browsing all the craft booths, tasting wine and a relaxing lunch.  This year I had my pic taken with Mr. Pumpkin.  Now I even recycled a bit on my layout, I used a tag from one of my children’s Halloween themed shirts for my title!

Here is the sketch that Cindy Stevens (Imaginisce DT) created that was the inspiration to my layout:

Thank you Imaginisce for the inspiration!

Kicking off October with a BOO!

October 1st, 2010

One of my favorite holidays happens to be Halloween!  I had an idea to create something fun to decorate the home with using my scrappy supplies.   I was strolling through the aisles at the local craft store and picked up a paper mache house.  I figured it was perfect to alter!  I pulled out a bunch of Halloween themed papers and embellies and got to work.  My son even helped me pick out what items I would use, he just adored the project when finished.
